Well, I have heard alot of talk here about this cutter, the palio. Some big raves about it actually! Some doubt that I am a noob, but now I will prove it. What is the Palio? and what makes it so great? I have never seen one in person, but when I looked on-line it looked like just another double guillotine cutter. Sure, it was a little fancier, but a guillotine nonetheless. Unfortunately, my local B&M doesn't carry them, and wont for some reason. I would like to try one out to see what the talk is all about, but cant afford to buy it and cant test it cause I cant find one to test. So, I ask this, what is it really like? How is it built? What makes it so special? Is it Japanese steel, German steel, or some miraculous metal from another dimension? I strongly doubt any cutter could match up to my Xicar. Not even the $75.00 credo or the $100 imcorona cutters I tried got a second glimpse from me. Prove to me why they are so great.
I know its a weird request, but I am a hard person to convince by word and this seems to be a "try it and see" situation. Is it possible I can borrow one from someone? I don't know how it would work, and if not, no biggy, but I still would like to hear why they are so great. Oh, and not trying to be a mooch here, just skeptical and curious. If I seem that way, feel free to delete this thread; I just want to know.
Appreciatively,
Jeff
