I have to vent about this. I'm smoking a fine RP Vintage 92 and enjoying it. I've got a couple of shots of single malt in me and I am starting to relax.
Here's the story. I ordered a box of Padron 2000's Naturals from TNT (Which is a great company)
Anyway, the delivery date was supposed to be today. Waited 5 days for ground shipping though UPS.
So I check my tracking number online today and everything is fine. My package is out for delivery.
I wait and wait and finally at 4 P.M. I call them and ask them what's going on.
"Oh, the truck is out making deliveries and for ground shipments they have till 7 P.M. to make their delivery."
So I wait an hour and am getting more and more anxious. so I call them again at 5 and again they tell me the same thing. I check the tracking number online and all seems legit.
Now it's 6 P.M. and once again I call and once again I get the same answere and online everything seems to be on time and my package isout for delivery.
Finally 7 P.M. arrives and still no package. I check the tracking number online and now the status has changed to:
"THE PACKAGE WAS MISSED AT THE UPS FACILITY, UPS WILL DELIVER ON THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY"
So I call them again and this time the girl on the other side listents to my tirade ( I told her that I wasn't angry with her personally)
She tells me that she has now put in a message into their computer to track down my package and have the local distribution center call me the following morning to let me know when my package will arrive. She also appologized for their screw up and we got off the phone.
10 minutes later I have the Chantilly distribution center calling me and letting me know that they don't know where my package is exactly but it is in the local warehouse and that if I don't see it early on in the day I should call them and have the "flag" the package.
What pissed me off is that they tried to blame the vendor (which I know didn't screw up) but nevertheless I'm sitting here without my package and not knowing when I'll actually see it.
It's been in transit for quite some time now plus at least an extra day because of UPS's screw up and you know that those stogies are sitting around somewhere drying up.
I know no one wants to read this post but I had to vent because I am pissed off with UPS.
I emailed TNT to let them know what was going on and that UPS was attempting to shift the blame on them and I begged them to switch to either DHL or USPS Priority mail.
We'll see what happens tomorrow but right now I'm angry, need to vent, and am slightly tipsy but I am really loving my goodnight cigar RP Vintage 92.
So all is not lost but I've had a crappy day because (like I told the main UPS office) I've been held hostage all day by a guy in an ugly brown truck which never showed.
Also, they only posted the problem after their local office had closed it's phone lines and basically shut down for the day.
:gn UPS
I'm :c to and extreme degree but maybe (I hope) tomorrow everything wil be resolved.
That's the end of my venting rant. Sorry for the long post but I had to tell someone and I know you guys understand exactly how I feel about this.
