Who writes the staff reviews on puff? Do they ever dislike a cigar or are the reviews purely promotional?
Cigar Obsession is a good site. He makes great videos and tells it like it is.I read cigar reviews on different sites and watch some one YouTube. I have yet to see anyone say "This is the worst cigar made". I did see the guy on CigarObsession.com trash a Gurkha but I can't remember which one it was.

HEY?!?!? Whatcha got against tattoos and facial scars?:ss...... You get on video with tattoos facial scars long hair with terrible verbal communication skills people just do not feel as relaxed I believe which in my opinion also adds to the review...
Sir I was the victim of poor socioeconomic status in the ladder part of the 20th century and sport some heinous tats and scars from when I was 15 to 21.. None of this nice clean shit that everyone has am talking about uneven scarred in jail tat looking thing. You wouldn't want me on there doing a review like This bitch taste so creamy like the sugar walls of that 7 eleven princess i got my nut on witHEY?!?!? You don't have to spend an hour smoking a crap cigar.....if its crap, call it what it is and chunk it. You can still write the review and help others from making the same mistake.Cigar Obsession is a good site. He makes great videos and tells it like it is.
To the OP: Most reviewers don't review cigars they don't want to smoke. I have posted several reviews here and they're all of cigars I would smoke regularly. To be honest, I'm not going to spend an hour smoking a crap cigar![]()
On one of the cigar obsession videos the football one he does exactly that... Also if you watch the q/a portion he even goes through some of this etc... This is one of my gripes about all of this.. I have list of 60+ cigars... I would say about 20-30 are premium range 10+ dollars.. If you buy a box of each of those let's say averaging 300 bucks you are getting up to 10 grand pretty quickly... So I am having a hardtime because of space etc of making a decision what cigars I want and those am going to rest / age etc... Because you can't find a sampler of everything either.. So reviews become pretty important...You don't have to spend an hour smoking a crap cigar.....if its crap, call it what it is and chunk it. You can still write the review and help others from making the same mistake.
As a member, you shouldn't be expected to spend your money on smokes unknown. (unless your doing it for yourself and just giving us the review as a by-product) The staff reviews on the otherhand should include a completly random assortment of sticks. Again, no one expects them to finish a nasty stick.....just write it in the review!
My personal opinion is it's unfair to a cigar to only smoke the first third of a cigar. At the very least a cigar should be smoked through the second third, as many cigar's flavors change. As for your opinion of the Puff Staff and their reviews...unless Puff is selling these cigars they have a right to smoke and review whichever cigars they please. Also, considering Puff.com is a free site that users voluntarily read...it's unfair to expect or demand anything from the staff. They have no responsibility to the users here to buy and smoke as many cigars as possible. In reality the staff of Puff is probably just like me.You don't have to spend an hour smoking a crap cigar.....if its crap, call it what it is and chunk it. So you don't believe in internet responsibility ( did he just say "internet responsibility" ) O yes and what I mean by that is having integrity because anyone who puts this much effort into something their character and passion will show if puff maintainers, owners admins etc didn't have a passion and integrity they wouldn't be as successful as they are so they also have a certain responsibility to their users when they neglect or abuse that trust or responsibility it reflects upon their character and harms their integrity free or notMy personal opinion is it's unfair to a cigar to only smoke the first third of a cigar. My two cents. To each either own.

Yes, I disagree with you. Unless you are paying for this site or for the use of this site's services, you have no right to demand anything from this site or its owners. The "internet responsibility" you eloquently refer to is your opinion. It is not law nor is it common practice. If a site does not provide what a user wants, that user should move on. The site itself, who has no monetary or contractual agreement with the user, does not need to change to the needs of a user.So you don't believe in internet responsibility ( did he just say "internet responsibility" ) O yes and what I mean by that is having integrity because anyone who puts this much effort into something their character and passion will show if puff maintainers, owners admins etc didn't have a passion and integrity they wouldn't be as successful as they are so they also have a certain responsibility to their users when they neglect or abuse that trust or responsibility it reflects upon their character and harms their integrity free or notThis is a kinda philosophical hypothetical idea that am throwing out there nothing that would disparage the fine character of puff management, owners and associates... So the forum etc maybe provided free w/ ads but puff still has a responsibility to its users if it wants to keep its integrity intact.. I rest my case....
By the way you can buy my book called "Bullshit and I love it" for 2.99![]()
I believe you both may be correct.Yes, I disagree with you. This topic goes down the same dirt path of people on the Internet wanting everything for free. They expect others to pay for the information they want. I'll end my comments here, as this subject has been beaten more over than a used cigar butt toss in the middle of an eight lane highway. Your opinion is just that - your opinion.
Could puff thrive without the user? I am beating this horse into soupI believe you both may be correct.
Of course you don't have the right to demad somthing you are not paying for. Although feed back is a tool that people sometimes pay for and is certainly valuable.
Puff is great site and that's why we are all on using it.
I think the feedback may be of value here both for puff and the user. People want to see positive and negative reviews. More people may use the review section if it didn't seem like an advertisement (IMO) and this may increase traffic flow where Puff may benifit via advertising revenue. Or not...what do I know:anim_soapbox:
