Went to Reno, NV to visit a friend of mine. He knows about my stogie habit and had conviniently located a new shop in town for my perusal...
so i visited hatuey cigars and i had a really good time.
The owners (and workers at the shop) are from cuba and have their own plantation in Dominican republic. The cigars ranged from mild to medium. I smoked three of them, my favorite are their reserve line which sort of reminds me of the woodsy twang that you get when having the sticks from that island south of Miami.
i don't know if you can buy these sticks easily elsewhere, the folks there told me that they had a store in Sacramento. Either case i found their sticks to be pretty decent but not earth shattering. Good buy, especially for those who enjoy milder cigars. i payed $3 for a mild regular cigar (corona sized) and $9 for a reserve in the Salomone's shape.
cheers everyone!
