Wow, that's too bad MUX. Cuban Crafters has been great with their warranty and service in my experience. Did you call them rather than email? They can be slow to respond to email, I suppose its the last thing they check. The do handle phone calls as they come in and take care of any problem. Keep in mind that they don't own a machine shop, It's a safe bet that they contracted these cutters out so the problem you are having is not really their fault, but they will stand behind their product.

I got this one for $15 (originaly $25, I just asked for a discount.) right from the Cuban Crafters store, since I live in Miami. I'm very happy with the results. I also bought the scissor round cutter with the three blades but its not as good and it dulls rather quickly IMO.

Hilman, you will be happy with that cutter. I have carried mine in my pocket along with keys, change, assorted nuts and bolts and other trash for quite awhile. A guestimate of cigars it has cut is probably 150+ and it still cuts like new.

Sounds like the best $6.95 I've ever spent. Thank you for the review, Bruce.

MAKE SURE TO GET THE OLDER ONE WITH THE D SHAPED FINGER HOLES, much better than the other one with round holes and thicker blades.

I just bought a CIGAR HUMIDOR CUBAN CRAFTERS RESIN BLACK PERFECTO CIGAR CUTTER NEW | eBay The cheapskate in me figured for $6.95 with free shipping and a lifetime warranty, it was worth it, even if it is plastic. I needed a new one anyway, to go along with my Xikar 007.
This is not as good as the older style IMO. blades aren't as sharp, they don't glide past each other, and the blades themselves are thicker. The older style that 007 linked to are the way to go.

It was $6.95 :hmm: I hardly think I'm going to lose here. But I see your point, for the slight upgrade price of $6.00 more. If I like this one; I'm not so cheap that I won't splurge for the difference. 8)

The resin one is cheaper, and it looks like it is discontinued which is why the price was so low. The regular metal ones are identical products with a price of $15ea on the CC website that can be had for $12 on ebay very easily so price isn't part of the discussion.

PS. try them both, gift the one you like the least!

I can add that the Perfecto model with the round finger holes may be discontinued soon if not already. Should come up bargain priced on fleabay soon.

I have carried mine for a year or so, every day and it gets banged up with everything else in my pocket and seems to cut better now than when new.

The Ronson/perfecto Cheapskate Combo (thanks to Hilman for the name) seen on another post can be had for the price of a good cigar or at least less than $15 if you shop around.
