I have one particular favorite brand that always smells like barnyard poop, no matter what size or line I choose. They have all been really tasty and quite mild, no hint of the awful odor. What is that "barnyard" smell? anyone else find smokes that smell like a farm?

I'm going to throw out a guess that the fermentation of the tobacco is what causes the barnyard smell.

I had a couple of CAO Brazillia Gol's and they all smelled pretty nasty, worse than a Gurkha. Smoked decent though.

Seriously though, I find that many of the sticks that smell like a fresh pasture usually are the tastiest. Especially those of the Cuban variety.:dr
