So I've been drooling over peoples stash pics the last hour or so while burning my budget 5 Vegas Classic :)

I got to thinking, what are you guys spending per month on smokes?

And whats the reason for the HUGE stashes you guys have? Aging? Or just hobby/collection?

I'm on restriction this month since I just forked over Spring tuition, but as a newbie, I'd say about $100 on an average month. I'm still sampling singles to find my daily smoke so I haven't taken the plunge on a box yet. As for the size of the stash, I suspect that collecting and aging are big culprits for guys here having a huge stash on hand.

This isn't such an easy question to answer. A year ago I was smoking more expensive cigars, but fewer of them. One per day instead of the 2/day now. I probably smoked $175/month worth then, and maybe $200/month more recently, but remember that's twice as many cigars.

Then there's the collecting. I built a stash so as I smoke from each box, a few will be left around for roughly a year, at least that's the idea. So probably in the first year I was smoking seriously I was spending 2x the above number (total) while the collection built up. Now I'm pretty much only buying at replacement rate, and on average less expensive cigars too.

ALOT! I have so many cigars so I never feel I have to smoke the same cigar in a day and i dont have a true "daily" smoke. Last week i smoked at least 2 cigars a day and never smoked the same brand twice. There are only a few NCs I feel need to be "aged" and the only ones in my stash I am truly "aging" are the Opus and CCs.

ZERO! well....not altogether true. I allow myself $25 a week for lunches at work and sometimes I sock that away and spend on cigars. Used to have a $250 a month cigar budget but no more.
I hear ya bro my cigar budget was $1,500 a month!
But since !

This month was a little skewed because of deciding to buy a bunch of cigars to age and splurging on some Padrons. Typically I spend maybe $75 a month on cigars. I ususaly keep them mid-priced and buy on bids or on 5-packs at my local B&M.

This month, on the other hand, was probably $300. But I never really spend like that, it is very rare that I have that kind of free cash to literally burn.

My spending is double what others are because if I spend 800 on cigars in a month I have to give the wife the same amount of go blow on clothes or what not. It keeps her from complaining and keeps me off the sofa. This month with my vacation almost here and having to place the puppies in the best kennel with all the bells and whistles (cost extra) I haven't spent too much money. The puppies are spoiled rotten and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Sounds like your puppies get better lodging than I do.

Sounds like everyone has a budget but went higher or lower this quarter for some reason. As for myself, I keep to a monthly budget, however in late October instead of restocking for the month at my B&M, I restocked online buying by the box. So I spent more money for the month but should save about $60 in the next few months cause my daily smokes I got cheaper in bulk. I did one sampler as well, here with a BOTL to mix it up ( just like I would at the b&M ) So in three months will be about $300 ( usually would be $400)

So if i do any more buys by Xmas, basically I am only fooling myself, If I stand my ground and smoke what I have now, I got more for less.

Jeremy, what'ya do for a living man?

Mikael that sounds like a pretty good system. What's your "daily" smoke anyways??

This is good keep it up guys!! My budget is really small and it's tough to try and smoke the good stuff you see all over the place online when the budget is 50-60 max per month. I make do though!! :)

Try to smoke one real nice cigar a month. By real nice im talking a sub $15 dollar stick still :)

Really hard to say. Anywhere between $750 & $1500 a month depending on what's out there and new releases. That number is going to drop significantly because I'm going to start moving to some unique boutiques which will be much cheaper.

I like to grab a Quorum 43x5.5 corona, Carribean Run Runners, and Cusano CC's as dailys. These are cigars that were $3 each, now I get them for under $2 each. I also like Acid Infusions, ( I know let the bawl busting commence) but they are like 43x 6 Churchills, and are not cheap ! At first were $8.50 then 7.50, then $5.50 and my last deal was 24 of them for $111 so now I pay $4.25 each. I have experience brokering, so with my cigar acquisitions is no different. I punch the numbers down. I am pretty much out of the B&M game now. But if you saw the B&Ms around here you would understand there is not much to miss. Now, If my wife is at the fabric store and there's a B&M across the street, I'll go over there. But I'm not spending $100 ..

Now understand I still have CAO, Patels, Fuente, Comachos and other "naturals" ( non acids ) here as well. Since I am a noob I was acquiring these originally via the B&M, but now, by doing samplers online, or 5 pak via bonuses or promos hitchhiking on the box sales.

So it's the cheapos, Patels, Fuente's or Acids daily and the weekends I smoke the more elaborate smokes or Big Churchill Naturals. Maybe I will find another cigar will be added to my dailies or like enough to purchase by case.

When you goin' on leave Jeremy if you don't mind me asking? Reason is I'm trying to figure out a time to make a run out to the base uniform shop, (need some new NWU's) and would still like to meet up with ya sometime...

I apologize for the minor thread 'jack.
