John Law is a character created in 1948 by Will Eisner. Eisner, for those who don´t know, was one of the main contributors to the development of comics as an art, and is called the father of graphic novels. The most important awards in the comics industry are named after him, the "Eisner Awards".

John Law is the typical 1930's-50's street-wise detective, eye-patched and pipe smoking. His side-kick is Nubbin, the shoe-shine boy.

Now, what's in John Law's pipe?
