Drink: Diet Coke

Nice pigtail, dark maduro wrapper, foot of cigar is also end wrapped so needs to be cutoff for lighting/toasting

First third: getting some slight sweetness and woody flavors. mild to medium smoke but enjoyable. Burn is slightly uneven with firm ash. As things start t o warm up inside the cigar notes of coffee start taking over with the sweet taste still there. Draw semi tight.

Second third: burn has gotten ragged but smokable. Flavor is coffee and hint of chocolate. I wasn’t expecting much from this cigar but so far I am enjoying it. This cigar came from the 10 cigar sampler from CI.

Last third: had to fix the burn, coffee flavors still there and getting stronger. Sweetness has faded some replaced by the woody taste. Slightly bitter after burn fix. Draw has loosened up perfectly.

This cigar had only 2 weeks of rest in the humidor. I can see if this cigar had time to rest gracefully for longer the harsh edges to cigar would be good. The flavors are there that I prefer just needs time. VS cigars are not high-end or even midlevel but this cigar has promise for the 2.00 range. It’s not complex and it’s not going to wow you but for a budget smoke and beginners it would work.

Nice review.

I have always found VS to be very hit and miss, but the Bohemian line I have always enjoyed.

I never thought of cutting off the foot, I used to just light the whole thing, which usually cause burn issues.

I have a few of VS' Bohemians, but I think the sampler I bought from CI was dried out so all of the VS have tasted like crap so far (and/or they're normally terrible).

Nice review. This is one line of cigars I've yet to try. Thompsons has some really good deals on VSs of all different lines. I've yet to bite, because, well it's Thompsons.
