Anybody here familiar with Vegas? I am going down there for a bachelor party in a couple of months and I am trying to gather as much info on places to go and see. I am mainly interested in what clubs are worth paying a visit as long as it doesn't turn out to be a big sausage fight :c I am also curious as to where the best places are to stay for those of us without corporate expense accounts and huge amounts of expendable incomes. Also regarding restaurants and clubs that are recommended can you lmk if they are cigar-friendly? I guess I am just curious as to what the "must sees" are, please keep in mind that I am not a 20 year old kid trying to hook up, this old man is just looking for some place worth visiting before he ties the knot  Aprreciate any help I can get and Happy New Years to all the LLG's here!

I know Vegas a little bit.

Best places for cigars are the Tinder Box (obviously), the Tabu' lounge at the MGM Grand is very cigar friendly and its kind of a trendy retro lounge - it kind of reminds me of a bar that might have been in the movie "Clockwork Orange".
Another good place to have a smoke (my favorite actually) is the Ghost Bar at the Palms. It is a super cool place to light up, it is located on the 55th floor and they have a little humidor where you can buy stogies but its really better to bring your own. The best part about it is they have a large patio that you can walk out onto and certain parts of the patio floor are cut out and replaced by plexi-glass so its like you are standing on open air. Its pretty daunting though to look down at the 54 floors below you.

Most of the Casinos have a cigar shop in them or at least a bar that has a small humidor. Best to stock up on smokes at the Tinder Box and then take them wherever you go. Whenever I go I try to stay at the Monte Carlo or the Luxor as they just seem to fit my style and won't break my bank.

Have fun down there, try and stay away from the Neon City Bar as it totally sucks. Oh and if you are feeling really adventurous (and I mean REALLY) just hop in a cab and ask for "The Green Door" :D

Stop by the library or book store and pick up a copy of The Unofficial Guide to Las Vegas 2005. Also check lasvegasadvisor.com. Type "Las Vegas" in google.com. Hope this helps.

Congrats on your impending marriage! You might want to visit the laser show that is downtown in the canopy. It is pretty cool, it's outside, & it's free.....you might get a slight crick in your neck though.
