Does anyone know when Mac Baren started printing dates on tins? I have a couple that just have a dash where the date is on the more recent tins.

I know it does not give me a precise date, but it can give me a "before this" date.

All the MacBitten tins I have seen - have NO dates whatsoever.

I have tins some vintage and some rather new I dont see a date.

I noticed this the either night actually. I bought a tin of Plumcake and a tin of Vanilla Cream the other day. The Plumcake has the date printed on it but the Vanilla Cream dosn't. Also, I have a tin of Dark Twist from last year that does have the date printed.

Are they factory stamped, or label/written by the former owner? Pics?

My tin of Dark Twist that I got from frenchy is marked Oct 08. Its on the label on the back of the tin with the upc, not stamped per se, but marked.
