Hey some one gave me some Partagas Serie D No.4 and a few had split feet and a little worse. Now, knowing that some fakes are so real to almost fool the experts, aside from smoking it, what would I look for if I dissected the cigar?

When you say disect I am assuming you're actually going to split it open. When you do, you should look for "long filler". If it's filled with bits of tobacco and stemmy it's most assuredly bogus. Long filler should be strips of tobacco going the length of the cigar. It creates a nice little air tunnel which makes the cigar (as long as it's not rolled to tight) smoke right. If my assumption about opening it up was wrong measruing the exact length is a good idea as well. There have been some bogus PSD4's floating around that are a bit too long. They should be 4 7/8"...I think.

That's all I've got.
