This may be the most-hyped movie of the year. My advice is to go ignoring all the hype. It turned out to be an absorbing but not a great movie, borrowing heavily from Holocaust movies of the past (esp. Schindler's List). If you haven't seen such movies, this is as good a way as any to get as close as is humanly possible to what the Warsaw Ghetto was like, and the fact that the movie is based on a true story is amazing.
Adrian Brodie gives a swell performance, though a bit over the top. Though he won this Oscar for this, I think Michael Caine did a much more subtle and nuanced job in "The Quiet American."
Anyway, I give this one a B+.
