Hi everyone! I am a new member of club stogie and a fairly new cigar smoker. My friend brad (bradleyt) told me all about the forums and encouraged me to join, talking about how much of a true brotherhood it is and how many great and knowledgable guys are on here! I am a New Yorker originally, and moved down to Pinehurst, NC two years ago. On monday I leave to intern with Mission to the World (the Missions outlet of the Presbyterian Church in America) in Sweden for about eight months! I have been going to a cigar group on tuesdays for a little while and been trying to branch out a bit as far as the cigars I try, but I must confess that my humidor is filled with every Rocky Patel there is, my favorite being the Old World Reserve Maduro, although I usually go with The Edge Maduro because sticks are SO expensive in Pinehurst (it's one of the world's premier golf towns, but even so cigars are exorbitantly priced)! I just bought a LFD Ligero and a Punch Grand Corojo at Brad's suggestion, and am looking forward to smoking those soon!

My collection is rather in shambles at this point however :(. I gave a friend of mine my old humidor and bought a new one, but there was an unexpected one week gap inbetween those two occurrences and all of my cigars got really dried out. I have them in the new humidor and they are coming back to life slowly (they dont crackle anymore when you roll them between your fingers...which is a good sign ;) ), but if you have any suggestions as to the best way to do this, please let me know, i'm all ears!

I am looking forward to getting to know some of you and joining the club! Thanks!

Welcome to CS, I used to be stationed at Fort Bragg, so I know Pinehurst well! I used to play golf out there quite a bit, and I went to the Open at Number 2 (great time!). There are a lot of knowledgable folks on the board; you'll learn a ton, and have a good time doing it!

I'm playing number three tomorrow (I know the head of grounds for all the courses in pinehurst, and he gets me and my buddies in for $30 :-D )! I am excited to get involved here and start learning from the guys on CS!
That's great, I'm jealous! Mountain golf is a lot different than NC golf; I definitely miss the pine straw, but I'm having a lot of fun out here as well. Good luck in Sweden!
