Howdy Apes, Stopped by my bargain basement, going out of the cigar business/ dirty bookstore, and grabbed me a few cigars, one of which was the Punch. Smoked it this morning. Enjoyed the hell out of it until it split down to the filler for a length of almost an inch from the ring up to the foot. Why did this occur? Cigar didnt seem dry, was supple when rolled between my fingers, actually was really pretty, dark glossy wrapper, no veins, great draw, very tasty with a really pleasant aftertaste. All and all a cigar I will smoke again, probably from a more reputable dealer. Just curious as to why it split like that? Frank B

Bad storage. Too dry, too moist, or fluctuating between the two can cause that. I had a Camacho SLR split on me a few weeks ago when I first moved back down to Pitt for college. Didnt have my humi then and it was 90%-rain all week. Blew up like a balloon
