You know Lou - I keep mine stuff as close to 65% as possible and it works out well for me. You do have to be very carefull when you handle them - example as in when taking off the ash - don't tap it on the ashtray or whatever - and make sure you don't drop them - even a little.loudee said:What would be the proper humidity for storing cigars that have thin wrappers? I noticed whenever I smoke one they start to peel and crack.

What humidity are you using at the moment?

If you don't want to lower all of your cigars - then take 3 or 4 of them to test and lower the RH down to 65% for about 4 weeks. Then give them a shot and see if that doesn't help. Years ago I also use to the do the 70% - but I think you will find like I did that they perform better a little lower.loudee said:around 70-71 percent
