What is the worse mark up on a cigar that you have ever seen?

I was in Vegas this weekend and of course I brought my own sticks, but I did go into a couple shops to see if i can find something diffrent (WOAM or Anejos) of course no love. The crazy mark up was a Opus X rubusto for 100.00! Padron 3000 for 11.50! PAM Principe 23.00! People actually pay that price? Frickin crazy!

WOW. Thats some inflated prices. A shop in Downtown Disney does some big markups. My example of a resturant/hotel in town that sells 8-5-8's for $12. $8 more than the shop. Nothing compared to that one.

I have been going over to Puerto Rico for the past year on business and the Ritz Carlton over there has a large markup on cigars. They have a nice selection in their humidor, but $60 for an Opus X Fuente Fuente is ridiculous.

Casinos do have the worst markups I have seen. There's a humior at the El Dorado outside of a brewpub that has some ridiculous prices. It is crazy, but people do buy them. Nevada wasn't built on tourists with sensible spending habits.

Mine was also in Vegas. Right as you get out of the gate area at the airport, there's a kiosk that sells cigars. I stopped mostly because the "Havana Honeys" were there, but then one of those cuties tried to sell me an $85 Opus X. I think they're overpriced at MSRP, but $85?! C'mon!

The tobacco shop in the Boca Raton Resort was selling vintage 1997 Macanudos for $40 a piece a few years back. Of course, they also were charging my wife and I a hundred bucks for breakfast, so.....

Thank god Pfeizer paid our tab.

Vegas, without a doubt.

In the Convention Center at the beginning of the month, they were selling RP vintage (Toros, I think?) for $35.

The hotel I was in had Bering Imperial tubos at 10.50, and Curly Heads for $12 (I guess cause they said Fuente on 'em).

wow.

I stopped by the base shoppette (like a 7-11) and they have a real nice humidor. I look at this cigar I've never heard of and figured I'd give it a shot. Blu label "Havana Cool." Price 35 bucks; this is the same place where I can get a CT gold 1959 robusto for $4.50. Ka-razy! I told the manager but she could not get past the fact that her Re-order associate could make such a mistake and that the price must be correct. The funny thing is there were only 4-6 sticks left :r
