SERPA = Scares Every Range-officer and People in Attendance
I have a different experience with mine. Both OWB and drop leg versions I have work well. At least on Glocks, as I haven’t tested others. When you use your booger picking finger to depress the latch, your finger lands right on the frame depression as the weapon comes out. Right where it should be.

Of course, nothing is idiot proof if an idiot is determined. ;-)

That's just it. Your booger hooker is pressing something when it should be indexed along the slide. In a high stress moment, you do not want to risk the index finger curling into the trigger guard and shooting yourself in the leg.

In a non-stressful draw, it works as intended.

It works as intended for me. YMMV.

Here’s another favorite. GA precision .308, S&B PMII, Thunderbeast 30-P1.

It also requires a bit of finger control.

I had a Serpa several years ago and I had no issues with it, but I am the weirdo who will get up early and practice draw strokes over and over and over. I thought it was absurd when people were afraid of them. It seemed like hyperbole and unfounded internet rumors.

But then I saw several people come very close to giving themselves “Glock leg” during practice (not even under stress) and I now count myself among those who really hate to see them at the range. I know it’s the user and not the equipment, but I reluctantly admitted to myself that it’s a hazard that can be avoided. As long as you’re happy with it and you’ve practiced your draw stroke A LOT, use what works for you. I just don’t recommend them to anyone I teach when there are other options with less “gotcha” potential for a new shooter.

Valid points. I don’t want to be around any shooter drawing from any holster that doesn’t have 3500 repetitions on that rig.

And another favorite.

But then weapons are like children. They are all my favorites.
