Not my only rides, but here's what I'm in most days:

You can ride all day on that, Bear.
It’s a real beauty.
I’m hoping! More important is that I don’t have to worry about dropping it with my wife on the back. I don’t have the strength and balance I used to.

It’ll take getting used to, not leaning, but wind therapy is always good.

My brand new (lol) 1976 F100.
Sort of impulse, sort of help, sort of wanted. Been sitting and wasting away at a buddies place who needed some funds and I wanted a classic project for the kid and I as he’s going to be driving in 2 years.
Then I might be able to get my 71 Chevelle or Nova once he takes ownership. Or possibly a bobbed Deuce and Half......
First project was create 2 fully functional doors as neither locked and passenger didn’t open from the outside. New lock cylinders and carburetor links to keep the rods in place on the latches and bam, it’s ready to be parked in a parking lot!!!
A previous owner dropped a 460 and 4bbl summit carb in there.....so it’s very gas station friendly. As in I’m going to get to know the employees very quickly! I’m guessing about 6-8mpg at this point.

That’s a sweet ride right there from an era when trucks were built to do truck stuff. I dig it.

Just took the kid for driving lessons. Truck was getting 9.4mpg! Sad that I’m excited compared to the wife’s Rav that gets 40+

Did a minor tune-up yesterday: plugs, wires, coil packs, oil change, tire rotation, and a new valve cover gasket.

Ol’ Edna ain’t much, but she looks pretty good inside and out to be 410,000 miles old! I think even Beagle and Brown Dog appreciate Toyota quality.

Wheels Up, I have a tremendous appreciation for the disclipline of keeping a vehicle for a long time, well maintained and completely depreciated. Something I learned from my grandfather.

Here’s my weekend driver. 2001 duramax with 228,000

My denali pickup was stolen in 2022 so with road trips to see kids in college, it was replaced with this

It’s a boat for sure, but a comfortable boat. I swore back in the 1990s id never own another black vehicle, but this one just looked right in black.

That’s a sharp looking Duramax, @texasredneck !

I like to tell people that I want to buy a new 4Runner; this one just won’t quit.

Really though, my dad was a Toyota man and this one was his favorite. I tried to buy it from him several times, but he just couldn’t let go of it. He bought a brand new Tacoma when he retired in 2011, but rarely drove it, always favoring his old 4Runner. He left it to me when he passed in 2014 and I’m just so attached to it and the memories of riding with him that it would take a real disaster for me to give up on it.

I do... I'm a noobie cutting grass, but did the whole front and back yard (about a third of an acre) in two hours and the battery went from 100 to 72%... So far so good.
