I'm not bein a jaggoff so don't take these questions the wrong way.

1) what is it?
2) do you get nervous if there's a truck behind you on the highway?
3) I'll assume it's battery operated. How don't the batteries crack at 30 below?

I don't know how to post photos, but my ride has a THREE POINTED STAR on the Hood. I have a photo of the white monster, but like I said I tired to put it up like and avatar, and it failed.

Smart Cars remind me a lot of Golf Carts on steroids. See people on the interstate driving smart car hoping to not be run over by an 18 wheeler, and I say self....Not too smart.

I laugh at myself most days too :grin2:

1) Smart Fortwo. It's a micro car manufactured by Mercedes Benz. I've got 5 of them.
2) Nope. I drove most of those home when I bought them (went to a metropolitan city to pick them up). The drive home is ~1,500 miles one way. When driving, you actually don't notice how small the car is. The inside is as roomy as a small Civic, or Focus. Where the car lacks space is behind you (small trunk and no rear seats).
3) Nope, gas. 1.0L 3 cylinder gas engine. And yes, they do start at -30 degrees. Here's a pic of the coldest weather I've driven it in, and yes, that is frost on the gauge cluster protective plastic:

She would kill me for this. Had her for 14 years, ridin hard some days and easy other days. Regular maintenance has kept her in decent shape.

Let's just hope she doesn't decide to peruse puff to see what it's all about lol.. Otherwise I think you are safe. 14 years though... Think you found a keeper there.

Some guy had one at work. It was battery but it looked even smaller in person. I couldn't imagine passing a tractor trailer in that..

Yeah there is a Smart EV. They're super expensive though ($32K+ brand new), so I've always stuck with the gas ones.
