So, i was leaning towards 5 vegas golds - but i was also thinking i could try some kind of cheap house blend, but im not sure which house blend's tend to be better (cigar.com has some decent looking ones)

I'm looking to grab a bunch of mild cigars and doing some weird infusion experiments (i have a ton of extracts of mint, clove, vanilla, anise, chocolate, etc.)

looking more for quality construction than lots of flavour since ill probably not like a few that i make :D

I had a hand full of Graycliff originals that I infused with rum for two weeks. They had a nice rum taste through out the smoke. Originals are a very mild and very little to no taste cigar for me. So I kicked them up a notch.

I would recommend Perdomo Fresco Naturals...it's a bundled cigar with a very nice price point and after 15 years I still smoke the maduros, however if your going to try infusing them stick to the naturals so the flavor of the infusion does not compete with the flavor of the wrapper.

Can't beat the 5 Golds in my book, especially when purchased under 2 bucks a stick. I also like the Oliveros 1927 blend. Nice mild cigar with great flavor and 100% construction.Well under 2 bucks a stick. :)

I have not had a bad 5 Gold, including the nuggets. Not even marginally bad.For the money, the best cigar value out there, I have found.
I am NOT including the 5 Gold maduros,as they are on my shit list.I would not smoke another if one if they were gifted to me.

The Perdomo Champagne already mentioned is also a great smoke, but usually more money.

+1 on the Fresco Naturals. Had one this morning and was amazed by the construction. Nothing overpowering flavor-wise so it strikes me as a good one to use for infusion.

VALUE BLENDS - Mixed Fill | TabooCigars.com

Cheap, but a good mild smoke. Quickly becoming my go to smoke over far more expensive stuff in my humi. Ive got 5 of them and a few other sticks packed in coffee right now for my own infusion experiment. Hope 6 months is enough.
I always keep a bundle of these around.

Adam, have you been to their new shop yet? The humidor is much bigger than the old warehouse was. They also carry more brands now.

I have never been to the old shop. First time I heard of them, they were still moving. First time I went there was also the day they got Twists, and HSG's back in stock, a couple of weeks back. Friendly staff, and very helpful. Next time Im on the North side of the Metro, Im going to stock up on some more Twists and another bundle or 2.

I think it was you that told me about Taboo, wasnt it? Best advice I got from this site yet.
