Does anyone have experience using an Igloo Play Mate as a "coolerdor. Will it hold humidity.

I have a large cooler, but right now it colder the hell here in Southern Az. and, since there's no place in the house big enough to get it cleaned up I'm goning to have to wait till the weather warms.

If the Playmate will hold humidity I can use it till then.

Right now my three humidors are chock full.

I don't think the Playmate will hold the humidity as well as you'd like. I checked the one I have and it doesn't seem to have a very good seal at the lid.
You'd probably be better off using a tupperware container, if you have one. Remember that in order to keep in humidity, you really need something with a tight seal.

You could probably use it, just put a bit of weather stripping around the lip of the lid. I used a "leaky" Igloo cooler for years with weather stripping around it.

Yes it does hold humidity and works just fine. All I used was a piece of florist foam and some distilled water for a humidifier and it worked just fine.

I stand corrected...but that's good to know. Now I've got another container to put extra smokes.

Blake, I couldn't believe it worked either. But I had an overfolw storage problem and had a new one of these in the garage and it worked just perfect. I had a digital hydro in it as well and checked it everyday. Never a problem.

I've used one in the past and it worked ok fer us too. Just put some beads in it and held RH just fine.

Worked just fine for me, also. Used it for a month or so, with no problems.

what about cleaning the big one in the tub?-it's not an all day project-just wipe it down w/a bleach solution, put a box of baking soda in it & leave it in garage for a few days open-good to go
