Usually if I go for a few days, I take 2 each of Padron 3000, Rocky Patel Vintage 1990, and El Rico Habano torpedos. I'll probably only have 1 a day [2 if there's a lot of drink involved] but I like to have a few extras to share with BOTL I may meet.

You chimney.

I would just pack 3. 1 a day.

I got way to many cigars I would consider bringing. For the sake of having 3... CAO Brazilia, DPG Series JJ Maduro, LFD Double Ligero Chiselito.
A ha ha ha ha...I guess that would be quite a few cigars now that I think of it. I usually bring extras because I meet others and when I travel I will go to a B&M and give the owner a cigar as well as new people I meet and talk with. When I take my cruises I invariably meet others in the lounge and will trade or give some away.

I also find people to be incredibly appreciative of a free cigar from someone they don't even know. Fast friends... Now, stand around with someone for an hour and not have a spare to offer... no fun...

Bring extra, bring variety.

When i go away to my lil cabins for a 3 day weekend i pack a 20 count travel humidor and load it up. I can then pick a cigar to match my mood and offer one to friends need be.

If i had to pick 5 i think id bring 3 nice sticks and maybe 2 cheaper ones.

Oliva V
Padilla 1932
601 green oscuro
CAO Brazilia
5 vegas Miami

sounds like a killer trip to me!

I guess it would depend on the trip... If it were a business trip, I'd pack 6-9 decent sticks in the $5- $9 range. If it were a vacation trip... I'd pack the GOOD shizzle, or find some whenever you get there! :D

I'm going on a bachelor's party to New Orleans with the boys. I'm bringing a bunch of RyJ Viejos for the rest of the groomsmen and whoever we happen to come across while there. Just trying to figure out the 3-5 I will be puffing on.

I stick with some that I know I like. Some Tatuajes and Oliva O/Gs. Figure AT LEAST 2 a day, more depending on what kind of vacation or trip it is. 2 would be assuming I'm doing something during the day. One before dinner, one after.

If it's a lazy vacation, I'd need at least 3 a day. One for after lunch.

Then again, it depends where I'm going. In S FL and Tampa I'll just bring enough to get me by and hit the locals when I get there. My step-family in Canada always has Cubans waiting for when we go up there. In that case I don't need to bring anything and I'm good for at least a week after I get back too. ;)

Based on what is currently available to me, a Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 , a Cabaiguan robusto extra natural, and a San Cristobal lancero. I'd also be tempted to bring along a couple of Oliva Serie G belicosos in case I'd be in a position to share a good cigar or smoke a few extras myself.

So I've packed up a Nub Habano, Shorty AF Gran Reserva, RP 1990, and a Diesel Unholy Cocktail. Diesel to be lit poolside, Shorty to be lit while walking the 1/4, and the other two may make it back home. It has been recommended to me to pick up some hand rolls at the Cigar Factory, so I will do just that.

On second thought, the Nub and RP will go back in the humidor as I am currently smoking a Nub Habano right now.

It would really depend on the trip.
For business i would pack sticks that cost less than $10 and make sure I have a good assortment.
On a vacation I would pack a 20ct with some quality smokes.
On a golf vacation I would add some milder, less expensive smokes for the course.
