"I hurt myself today, on johnnycashfan's bomb, I focus on the smoke, from the cigar - not the bong!"

I came back today from my week long house sitting experience that I did for my father. I was so excited and very suprised to see a very special "Birthday Bomb" from JCF.. He may have not even known that it was my birthday but the timing couldn't have been more perfect!! I'm so excited because he sent me a couple jewels that i've never tried before.

First off he sent me to NCs: One Saint Luis Rey and another Hoyo De Monterrey (slightly larger than a Demi Tasse?)
Following that are three ISOMs: One Partagas Habana (which I've tried before and absolutely LOVE!), One Bolivar Habana with a way cool color band that totally kicks ass, and a montecristo habana!!! I have not tried the Montecristo or the Bolivar before and i'm totally excited!!!

I'm looking at the Cubans right now and drooling like mad!! They look really nice. The Bolivar is sort of squared off and pressed looking. The wrapper is smooth and flawless. The montecristo is similiar in apperaance to the Bolivar.

I do notice something I have been wanting to ask for a LONG time. On MANY of the Cuban Cigars that I've had (For a total of about 15 now?, Maybe?) i've seen these little splotches of GREEN... Even on some older ones ('01) i've seen little dots or splotches that are green. In this case the Partagas has a green splotch line of about 1 cm long by 2 mm wide.. approximately.. It is on the body of the smoke, about 1/2 way down.. I've seen the mysterious green splotches in many different shapes and pretty much ONLY isoms.. I dont recall seeing them on NC's (not that I think cubans have a special power to turn green..) but I could have missed it.

What is this mysterious green splotch that I see? Has anyone else noticed it?

Thank you so much JohnnyCashFan. I know that you have had an experience similiar to what I am going through right now and it feels great to know that I have a Brother of the leaf who has some idea of whats going on in my mind right now (Probably a better idea than I do!!). When Rob had said to "Send me your address and once I get some affairs in order, maybe you'll find a little care package waiting for you one day. " I didn't expect to get this oppurtunity to try such interesting cigars. Thank you for the support and the smokes my friend. Many blessings,
-psy

The wrapper is green from a water droplet that landed on the leaf and sat on the leaf, the water droplet then magnifies the sun and makes a spot. For NC tobacco, the same thing happenes but there is more leaf so they are either tossed or used as other parts of the cigar. Cuban wrapper leaf is in high demand so every peice must be used.

Hope that helps, and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!! Enjoy that Bolivar, as we all know they are my favorite.

I'm sorry but I have to say it one more time.. even after several days I can't get the awe inspiring taste of the Cuban Bolivar out of my mouth. It is truely an amazing cigar.. I just can't get that out of my head.. nothing smokes better.. nothing. So smoooth, So flavorfull, such complexity and progression.. the wrappers as beautiful as a woman's body. the smoke so sacred, so mesmerizing, so entrancing and spiritual.. This cigar transcends one soul into the highest realms of bliss and inebriation.. the mind is filled with feelings of love and a pinch of anxiety. warmth flows through the entire body as you slowly exhale the purest smoke from your mouth and nostrils.

The Bolivar PC that originates from the island is the best cigar. ever. and i've only had one..
