Humi-Care EH + alarm

I just purchased a Humi-Care EH +, set it up according to instructions with a FULL reservoir of distilled water and the low water alarm keeps sounding. It goes off every hour. I double checked the amount of water, etc but the alarm keeps going off. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you
