Well I couldn't wait any longer. I finally had one of the H.Upmann's. It was a friends bachelor party so I figured that was as good a reason as any. Then again, I almost used the sky being blue as a reason.

Now, I must warn you, I think my sense of taste isn't good enough to pick up the sublteties of the different flavors. I just know what I like and don't like. So please, bear with me.

From the beginning I could tell I was in for a treat. Nice smooth taste. Definitely Cuban. Not too strong, but definitely flavorful. A buddy of mine thought his was too strong. A good draw, with a great burn. A pretty solid cigar that held together pretty well. From beginning to end it was a flavorful but not overpowering experience.

One of the top five cigars I've ever had.

I believe what you smoked was an Upmann "Super" Corona. Upmann doesn't make a "Royal" Corona, Bolivar makes the Royal Corona which is Robusto Sized (4 7/8" x 50). Both are great cigars.
