Right off the cuff, I would have to say that this is one of the better small machine-made island smokes I have had in a long time. They are close - but not quite - to the Party Chicos in quick smoke satisfaction ratings (at least in my book). They have several things going for them, namely price (about 16.50 pounds sterling for 50) and flavor, at least for the first half.
There isnt much to say about the appearance of these - like all smaller RG machine made smokes, they are ugly. But I dont put appearance too high on my priority list, especially in this category. There isnt much to say about the burn, either - these are going to be off a bit, and who cares? They are a smaller RG smoke, and that island of unburned wrapper will catch up in due time.
But the taste - to me, it was just like an Upmann corona for the first half, very earthy, a little spice, and undertones of coffee with cream. This is assuming, of course, that the cigar is "sipped" or smoked very slowly in a rhythmic fashion. Puff hard on one of these, and its off to Bittersville. By the last 1/3, the bitterness caught up with me anyway, and I had to pitch it. But for the price, Ill just grab another and fire it right up! :ss :tu
