Fellow Apes, was not much of a beer drinker until I started traveling for a living and ended up in CT. Discovered tremondous variety of craft brews while I was there. Have been hunting some of my favorite brews since I left there. Anyway, out wandering around Austin and come across this place called the Whip-In. Gonna give them a plug because the service was first class and extremely personeable. Probably the best selection of micro and craft brews I have encountered since leaving the east coast. Found three of my favorites, North Coast Ale, Old Rasputin Imperial Stout, and Allagash Triple Reserve. All terrific brews and given a 4 mugs up by me. If you like big, bold brews, you cant go wrong with these. Frank B

The Pacific Northwest is where you should be if you're looked for great microbrews and craft beers. Portland has more microbreweries per capita than any other city!

I like anything from Stone Brewery's Arrogant Bastard Ale Line! Especially the RUINATION! Second only to HC-7 & Bacardi 151 for the quick NUMBING of the SKULL! :al :al :al :al
