I just downloaded a free book to my Kindle from Amazon, the book is called Tobacco it's history, varieties, culture, manufacture and commerce.Looks like the history of tobacco over 300 pages, just a heads up if you are looking for something to read .:cowboyic9:
It's the Specialty leaf growers bible. Most of the information is obsolete to commercial production, but the information is essential for micro producers trying to recreate traditional tobacco products.
Billings account of Latakia production however, should be taken with a grain of salt.
P.L. Simmonds published what I believe to be the most accurate account of how genuine Latakia was produced 20 years prior to Billings publication.
