I was going to watch a movie to get my mind off the cigars. Well, about 20 minutes in the movie Bond goes to Cuba. :r Yes, you can guess the rest. I was wondering about those cigars, cant remeber their name, have to check it up later/tomorrow. Anyway it was mad by a tobacco-leaf that was very bad for the health. Cant remember the leafs name either. Thats whats happend when your trying to think of other things then cigars.

I didnt liked the movie that much. It wasnt a very typical Bond-movie, I like the ones with Roger Moore better.

Cant stop thinking of those cigars...

I'd have to agree...the new bond movies are going down their own slippery slope. Can't complain about Brosnan though. I think he makes a good 007, but the writing isn't what it used to be. However, Sean Connery is THE James Bond, though Moore did have a few good ones.

Happen to see those 007 Die Another Day humis? The shops around here were selling them for upwards of $700.

The cigars that the cuban man was smoking was called Delectados and was made of the Valado-tobacco, that s very bad for your health and is a very slowburning tobacco... It never goes out...

A few reasons that this movie wasnt a "real" Bond-movie:

1. The love-scenes. If you want to see more rent a ****-movie.
2. In the beginning when he gets tortured. No one but Rambo had survived that kind of torture. And Bond doesnt get tortured in any other movie, its just not Bond-style. They just try to kill him in all different sorts of ways - thats it!
3. No really BAD GUY. What the hell was the fencing-scene all about anyway?
4. Bond would never show up at the Hotel in the state he was in. He always shows up in a suite or a tuxedo - thats the Bond-way.
5. No gambling scene(s)/casino scene(s).

I could go on... but instead I say something that was kind of Bond-ish. When he got to the Hotel-room in Hong-Kong and shaved of his long beard and the Bollinger-bottle laid nearby with a a glass filled with champagne. I think that scene was a REAL Bond-moment but it lasted just a few seconds when he suddenly realised that he was watched and filmed by some other agents behind a mirror...

And one last thing, not mentioning that M is now a female , Q played by John Cleese (known from Monty Python), I mean its really hard for Bond to beeing funnier than him it just doesnt fit. And that invisible car...

Otherwise I think that Brosnan looks very much like Bond should look like and probably act to, like a gentleman.
