I've done a quick search on the forums and couldn't find this topic, so let's give it a shot!

Cigar bands are little pieces of art in my opinion. I don't like the design on my dailies even though they're embossed and high quality, I feel like the design and colour makes them look cheap. On the other side of the spectrum there's bands with amazing designs, pictures or colour combinations. My collection isn't big yet, but I do have a cigar with a band I truly think looks really good. I'm curious about your guy's favourite, different or just crazy band designs. Show them below! Let's get a band appreciation thread going :D

If there is already a thread I missed, please correct me <3

I'll kick off with my favourite design from my collection in the comments!
(Remember, this doesn't reflect my opinion on the cigar! Just band design!)

I'm trying to figure out the coins on the Don Tomas bands, so far I've checked Honduran and Nicaraguan coins, I've even searched British Honduran coins since there is a crown and a lion depicted, but couldn't find them. I'm thinking they might be a nod to the original factory that made them before general cigar took over. Classic band for a classic cigar! Lovely.

Traditionally the "coins" on cigar labels (& bands sometimes) represent medals for excellence the brand has won in competitions. I'm not sure if those are actually medals Don Tomas won; or if they're simply stylized rounds made-up to evoke an old-school feel.

Thank you my man! That sounds right, after the company took over the brand kind of "came back" and they made the Clasico which was supposed to taste and feel like the classic one did. It's hard to research this stuff, there isn't much online. Thank you for educating me! 👌🏻
