At Thanksgiving I snuck a peak in dad's humidor to see how his stock was doing. He was down to six sticks, so I "accidentally" left a Holt's catalog behind when I headed home. He found the catalog and we talked about cigars a few times over the next week. I ended up getting him a box of Fumadores and throwing together a sampler box with about 18 cigars in it. I knew that would be plenty to hold him over until next Christmas.

I went to visit him and drop off his birthday gift today. In discussing cigars, he mentioned that half of his Fumadores did not fit in his humi. I answered with "Happy Birthday!" and handed him a $30 cigar, which I guess won't fit in his humi either. My wife and I gave him that humidor a few years ago when we got married; I could have sworn it was a 100 ct. :hn

I'm sorry to tell you this. But your Dad has HDS or Humidor Deficiency Symptom. Now while this is a serious condition, there is help.
Many web sites can help you and your Dad overcome this dreaded disease.
Maybe we here at CS should hold a web-a-thon for this problem.

I just picked up a second humidor so I could get away from the cooler; wife says the cooler is an eyesore in the new house. Dad may be getting a well seasoned cooler next time I see him. I told him to put his 'gars in a tuperdore until he has room in the humi.
