Colibri funded an independent research company to test the level of contaminants found in the most popular brands of lighter butane. I know Colibri allegedly came in first @ 24 ppm, but don’t remember if Lava was part of the study. Does anyone have these results?

Well, in my personal study (i.e., I light my cigar), I have found a Colibri lighter loaded with Lava fuel works quite nicely...

I'm not familiar with the test, but I was given a bottle of First Light butane at my local cigar shop by the owner about 3 years ago. He told me {he sells Lava, Colibri and First light} it comes from the same refinery as Colibri. Whether it is true or not I’m on my 3rd bottle and I have yet to have a problem with either of my Colibri lighters and it is very inexpensive, $2.25 for 250ml
