I am building this humidor out of Bird's Eye Maple & Bloodwood. She'll be around 15-1/2" x 12" x 6-3/4". This one is available and waiting for somebody to jump on board.... no pun intended....

The first one with curly and bloodwood looked great. Can't wait to see what it looks like with bird's eye.

Well...this one's spoken for. My friend that I went to high school with (who I recently brought in to the vortex).... is now in need of a humidor....

Cut up Greg's box tonight... this is going to be a nice little box....
I didn't get a lot done in the shop today, but I did secure a bunch of wood!
I really like the way the lid is going to look on this one....

I am enjoying this cigar hobby very much !! Thank you all for welcoming me. The humidor is coming allong very well !! Birdseye Maple has allways been my favorite.. Ed you are a master artist. thank you so much !!

So far today, I cut the bottom for Greg's humidor.... glued her up, drilled the holes for the hinges... and glued the lid on... I'm hoping to put the splines in this afternoon and get the lid cut off...... Should be able to get that much done....

Very nice, that grain in the maple looks amazing. Can't you leave the lid glued on!!! Make him pull them through the hole in the top.

Dang.... too late. I already did the splines and cut the lid off..... Here's where she is now....
I know Greg personally, and I know he'll like the "X" splines.... Took me a while to figure that one out, since my saw blade only tilts one way.... first two or three tries on scrap wood sure didn't look like what's in the picture below.... lol

Well, I mounted the lid today and sanded her down to where she needs to be.... then, I put the oil on her.... I'm toying with the idea of putting a mirror in there instead of glass..... Greg?

Well Greg - yours is just about finished.... I did do the cigar band lid on this baby.... I really like the way it looks... There's about 3/16" of epoxy sitting on it right now... I sure hope the dust in the shop has settled down... lol

Looks awesome. Really like the square look to it. BTW cigar bands look really cool on this one!
