I use an open tupperware container, but it takes up alot of space especially in my small box humi's.

Can you lay cigars (in cellophane) in direct contact with the KL?

I'm curious how others set their humi's to maximize the volume of the container for cigars. Any ideas?

Be creative about looking for things to put your KL in...I reuse those round discs that come with the sponge/floral foam and just put KL in those...these are great with small humis. For bigger humidors I use the large rectangular humidifiers....you can use mesh stockings that are great so you can spritz them with distilled water. I would not lay any cigars next to KL...use something to buffer any contact like a partition of wax paper, cedar sheet, etc.

Myself, and a bunch of others, use the filter bags from petsmart. They come in 2 sizes and have a drawstring. The smaller size is good for about a half pound, the larger size holds about a pound. They are usually under $1

The problem i find with the filter bags is that they can leave behind dust in the bottom of your humidor.

When i was using a tupperdor this was no problem. When i moved to a humidor i didnt want to have to try and clean the dust.

Im currently using a few baby food glass jars.

Great ideas. I think I'm going with the filter bags since I have a Petsmart right down the street.
