We toured the Neely family distillery when we were in Kentucky a couple weeks ago and picked up a few of their products. They found an absinthe machine over in France so they make that along with their whiskey and moonshine.
20 years ago when real absinth was illegal in the US I picked up a couple bottles from a Czech website and wholly crap that stuff packed a hang over. You could take 2 shots and feel like you drank 3 bottles the day after.
I lucked into these gems at an estate sale. $20.00 for the entire haul. The Lagavulin 16 is my favorite. I've never had the Chivas, (I'm a single malt Islay whiskey whore), but it was a no-brainer at that price. I'll keep it on hand for any of my friends who like blended scotch.
