I was in the lansing area and drove down town and saw a Place called Creole Cigar Factory. went in and all they carry is thier own brands. Awesome selection of different vitolas. Every one is Incredibly helpful and really friendly came in just to look and get some cigars and ended up spending almost 3 hours there talking up the regulars.

Bought a 5er and another one to light up. it was a twist. Constuction was flawless and smelled great, i mean really really great. the lady behind the counter put a v cut in it which id never had and gonna invest in one. light it up and and awesomely easy draw on it. Taste was good and smooth and had a spice to it. love it. Smoked it to a nub and almost bought another one to light up and hang out but had to get back home so didnt. Awesome place definatly recommend it.

they have a website, address and toll free number that i can send to people PM if they want it.(dont know protacal on posting that kinda stuff) I gaurantee that you will like the people and the cigars. PM if interested or if i can post that info on here.

Any questions PM me.

I think you can post the info here, the problem with websites and cigar vendors is only a problem with cubans since they are Illegal, but for domestic cigars I dont think there could be any problem.

I had another twist today and had my note book out to take better notes

pre light

awesome constuction
Smell was good really good not a barnyard smell
It looks cool to with the maduro and conneticut wrappers

First Light

v-cut--easy cut
Lights really easy and the draw is incredibly easy.
Puts out tons of smoke.
Tastes very good a cedar and maybe roasted nuts with coffee undertones

First Half

burned great no corrections needed
drawed stayed easy and the taste gained alot of complexities
A mild to medium in strenth--just the way i like em.
The cool thing is how it changes with the wrappers.

last half

burn contiues to not need corrections
Draw consitant to the end--nubed it maybe a 3/4 of an inch left
Taste kept its complexities and tasted awesome right to the end.

Final thoughts

As i have said i am contiually impressed by creoles line of cigars they are really good and they have a ton of blends. They even have a cigar that they say takes about 2 hours to smoke. I give this cigar a 5 out of 5. I think they will be one of my first box purchases when i start working again this summer. If you are in michigan it is worth going by and checking out the lounge and get a few smokes. ive found my new pinnical cigar

Maybe Paul could get some of these and do a Top25 review. Sounds interesting.

I also noticed that the last 4 digits of their phone number is 4427. That corresponds to the letters in cigar but also Lansing is the home of Oldsmobile where the 442's were produced. Maybe just a coincidence.

Creole's toll free number is 866-66-CIGAR.

A few of the more unique features about Creole are their specialty lines such as those infused with spirits (brandy, rum, whiskey) and the flavored cigars (honey, vanilla, chocolate). I think they have about a dozen in each category. I interviewed owner Marshall Kirk for an article I wrote last year.

Creole also has a Torcedor who is available "for hire" for special events. I'm doing a charity golf outing in June with actor Jeff Daniels and Creole's roller will be there. It's quite impressive.
