If I’m going to sit still and wait for them to move, I generally use a .22lr rifle with a scope. Today I was walking and hoping to jump some and hit them on the run, so I carried my Browning BPS 20ga. 2 3/4” high brass #4s. I love that little shotgun.

This was a muzzleloader specific season that you need a permit to hunt it and can only hunt the zone the permit is for. Nj has a weird deer season, but if you buy all the permits, you can hunt for 6 months

Haven’t been squirrel hunting in a few years. I also used a scoped10-22 while sitting and a 28 ga side by side walking them up. Been considering going back out with a .22 pistol.

I seent a one-eyed voodoo woman do that with a boilin’ pot outside of New Orleans once. Only she used the foot of a jack rabbit, liver of an owl, a jar of peach preserves, and a live chicken instead of a cigar.

I haven’t touched absinthe since.
