Android App?

I have to say, I recently got an Android phone (Samsung Moment) and it is AWESOME!! I had a Windows Mobile phone before this but the Android platform has proven much superior (in my humble opinion).

Would it be possible to get an app for Android? The Android application marketplace is already way bigger than Blackberry or the one for Palm and also 57% of applications are free. The significance of that is the fact a lot more people that I have talked to are going to the Android platform over Palm, etc, because of the number of free apps.

Either way, I would love to see one (and think it would definitely be a good idea) for Android, Palm, Windows Mobile (if they have apps, not sure) and Blackberry.

I have the G1 still and don't know of any cool cigar apps. I've been toying with the idea of making a CH app, what would you like the app to do?

I have an app called In mi humidor that is free on the market. It's decent, but it is missing a lot of cigars at the moment. It does allow you to add cigars, but they have to pass review first. I added some 5 vegas series a sizes a couple months ago and they've yet to be approved. You can add cigars to your humidor to keep track of what you have, and read reviews from others. It's not perfect but it works for now until puff releases something. I'd give it a 7/10.

I had that app & couldnt stand it. It could be so much better, but it IS the only one for now

Automatic inventory controll!!! Have it automatically update when i order & smoke!! that would be killer! ok ok ill shut up now:bitchslap:

LOL Ok, I'll start thinking about it. I've been trying to get a CheapHumidors.com mobile app for awhile, but I couldn't think of anything actually useful to make it do, so I appreciate y'alls suggestions.

Perhaps you can put the cheaphumidors eBook in it? Also, make a way to inventory what is in our humidors. Possibly a place to review and share reviews among others that have the same app on their phone?

The ap should let one have a humidor and be able to photograph and track your cigars. Provide reviews and maintain an inventory. Hey it is the 21st century....right?

+1 on Android, I think it is the best mobile platform to date. Then again, I am kinda an iHater lol. Good products, bad company.

I would definitely say a humidor inventory function and perhaps a review section where you could personalize a review via either voice recording, video or typing. It could be a virtual notebook kind of like how some people take the band of the cigar they smoked, tape it on the sheet and write tasting notes.

Also, make it Puff friendly and come with an actual humidor that looks like an Android? (For beta testers only as payment for trying it out hahaha) jk

Haha good ideas. Maybe it'll include a cigar caddy to protect your phone in :biggrin:

great idea with an android app! would be nice to keep track of what's next in line to be smokes .. would also be great to be able to note when a cigar was added to the humidor
