With some of the pricier sticks coming out, I thought this word on perspective may be helpful. I went over to Timezone and started posting on that message board to get some information on a good starter watch.

I got run off the board and my feeble posts have made it to thier wall of shame when I found out that I could't even afford their entry level watches. The Patek Philippe line starts at $9,000 and I even was encouraged to never STOOP to a Rolex, unless of course I needed something to wear while doing manual labor.

All things considered, $600 for a box of sticks isn't that bad!

No such luck Jack. Just an entry level Patek in rose gold, leather strap, and plain face. If you are into this sort of thing, I was directed to the Ulysse Nardin Freak because of its dual direct escapement which is state of the art.

Unfortunately, I have to ask about the price, so I obviously can't afford it.

My best watch hmm was bought at a Jewelry store.. Pretty cool, certainly a step up from Wallmart I tell ya.

But I just cant get it spending that kinda dough on a watch.

Id rather have a great watch and a full humidor of great cigars...

The Fuentes have nothing on Patek Philippe. That is one extreme marketing scheme. I'm glad to see that you get the box and papers for your $77K.

I think I need to looking into becoming a watch dealer. I'll just have to sell maybe 5 watches per year with a large profit margin... then I can :w and :al the rest of the year.

Hell,

For that kind of money, I'll convince the Cubans to sell me one of their factories and go into the cigar business myself.
