  1. General Cigar Discussion
I made a Xikar Xi cutter sheath. This one is made from python with full grain calf skin lining. I'm very happy with it! :) This is my first one. I plan on making plenty more with more refined stitching and from other leathers such as crocodile hornback, crocodile belly, ostrich leg, etc.
  2. Cigar Accessory Discussion
Hey, I have a question for those that own a xikar xi2 cutter. It seems that the one that I just ordered last week has a blade that likes to sick until the other finally starts to cut into the cigar. Is this normal for there to be a bit of a catch in the actual track that the blade follows...
  3. Cigar Accessory Discussion
Maybe a few of you guys can help me decide on this cutter... I found the Xi2 for about $30, most everywhere the Xi3 is about $70, and the Xi1 is about the same price as the Xi2, if not a little more... what really differentiates these cutters? the HRC levels are not linear by model and the...
  4. Cigar Accessory Questions
What's the best way to clean the blades on these things? Mine are starting to stick a bit where only one blade will usually come out and try to act like a guillotine.
  5. Want to Sell/Trade (WTS)
Looking to get rid of some accessories I don't use. The Xikar XI2 cutter had recently been shipped to Xikar to be fixed and cleaned, so it is basically brand new! It comes in the box and will also include the handy cutter case. Looking for $25 shipped for the Xikar XI2 cutter. The 5...

Anyone know how to disassemble Xikar Xi2 for sharpen? I know it's lifetime guarantee, but it's return cost from Japan is too expensive:(
  7. Want to Sell/Trade (WTS)
WTS my almost-new Xikar Xi2 cutter, color bloodstone red, used to cut less than 10 sticks. Between hand problems; my preference for a V-cut (accentuated by the Boston Cigar Cutter I just picked up); and my dislike for torps/belicosos, I just don't need it. Cuts smooth and quick, but just not for...

How often do you recommend that this cutter needs sharpening? Besides "when it don't cut so good no more." Based on cutting 7-10 cigars a week.

over the memorial day weekend i dropped my xi2 and both sides of the blade came unattached from the center of the body.(just remaining attached at the screw at the bottom) i have tried to get them back in without tearing apart the body, to no avail. my question is, is there a way to fix this...

  12. Meet the Manufacturer
Hi, I have a Xi2 that I've owned for a couple months. I've just noticed that the blades don't exactly touch each other when the cutter is closed. In fact when I held the closed cutter up to the light, quite a bit of light shines through between the blades. Is this typical of Xi2 cutters? How is...
  13. Meet the Manufacturer
Question about my Xikar. I have a Xi2 cutter that is about a month old that I got as a gift. The problem that I have with this cutter is it is not very smooth at all on the cut. One side seems to hang up about half way and the other has a slight studder. My question is this, is there anything I...

Well, this wasn't a good weekend for my cigar accessories. First, my Xikar, which has been sticking quite a bit lately finally indicated why, when half the tension spring fell out. I was heading to JRs anyway and they said "bummer, send it back as we don't have any in stock". Then, I lost...

Well I won it for $25 on Cbid a week ago and now it broke:(. The spring popped out and it wouldn't close anymore but its good that I am getting a very prompt replacement. Kudos to the devils site.

I've had my Xi2 for several months now. I can compare it to a single bladed guillotine and a double bladed guillotine. All cutters work well when sharp. The reasons I like the Xi2 are: Light Weight Fits the hand well- Form Fits Function Constrution- I took mine apart. A great design...
  18. Cigar Questions
I recently grabbed a Xi2 that came with a sampler pack of sticks. The cutter performed great until about a week later. I noticed that the blades seemed a little bit loose and I opened and closed it about three times trying to find the cause. Much to my dismay, one of the screws at the bottom...
