I would like to build a cabinet in my smoking shed for about 500 cigars. Winter temperatures are typically in the 30s. Any thoughts on keeping the temp inside warm without heating the entire room 24/7? I was thinking of a thermostat and an infrared bulb. Will this work?

After 18 straight days of temperatures in excess of 100 degrees, it's become clear to me that my constantly-running apartment AC isn't going to get the room temperature below 79 degrees during the day. Naturally, I'm worried about my cigars. So far as I know, the big problem with temps around...

Besides smoking too many cigars, how did you spend your first warm weather day this spring? The picture explains mine but I'll elaborate and nominate myself for a Darwin award at the same time. My day started off really well - I kept it on two wheels, conquered a few logs, rocks, and other...

Hi Puffers! So My apartment is normally above 70*F due to pregnant wife and 14-mo baby. The temp in my humidor is at 74*F right now, humidity at 68% but it will probably go up because I just opened it and put new sticks in it. I have 2 Bovida 72% packets in it, and about 40-50 sticks. So what...

I fired up the built-in barbecue grill, opened the lid, and the stainless hood reflected heat towards me. I had a little heater fan blowing at me feet. It's in the low 40s, so it's tolerable with this setup. I just need a better reflective heater!!!

My buddy Ty is finally home from Baghdad :woohoo: Yesterday, we went out to the range and wasted some lead and had a blast (literally). When we got home, we were planning on going down to the bar to have a beer or two along with a pair of cigars I've kept in my humi for over a year waiting for...

Not only did I have my first Anejo tonight (a Shark nonetheless), but it was warm enough to wear shorts on my patio. Add that to being able to watch one of the best hockey games I've seen in a LONG time (Washington over Philly) and you have a pretty incredible night for me. The Shark was...

We're just halfway through February and I'm going a little stir-crazy. I haven't been able to sit outside and enjoy a cigar on my front porch since December's warm spell. I've got to find a better way to warm up my front porch. I have a little Coleman SportCat heater thingy that's OK to warm...

Is there a cigar you guys prefer for warmer weather ? It's 95 outside and it's 9:30pm !!! Is it like summer style beer where you want something lighter and perhaps more "refreshing" on the palate. I'm smoking a AF Hemingway right now and it seems tastier in the hot weather. Also I really...

I'm finding that Carol @ PW&W has a deft and delicate touch. So far I have bought and tried Cherry Cavendish, Vermont Maple, Wilke #'s 191, 192 and 194, as well as Gotham Court. All can be described as warm and light with a good quality leaf underneath the wonderful and lightly toasted black...
