As with most Illusione's, they have a very different scent to them. The wrapper was oily, construction was solid, not too firm and not too soft. ... Read the full review here: Illusione 88 Cigar Review - Great flavor, uneven burn

Ok so I've been smoking for about a year now. The caveat to this is it has all been here in Iraq and I've not really had a seasoned vet to help me out when I've had questions. Now that I've found a community to support my hobby, I have a "burning" question. Haha... sorry had to throw in the pun...

This cigar was a real let down for me. The first few draws were very nice with lots of pleasent flavours. After that it became very woody and harsh... Read the full review here: Chinchalero Chinchalero Torpeditos Cigar Review - Very uneven

I'd like your opinions on this. I can't stand it if the burn starts pushing maybe a half inch out of whack and it doesn't appear to be self correcting. I'll moisten the hotspot before then, but break out the torch at that point. Am I wrong? ~

So I went to a local B&M and picked up a stick to smoke this afternoon. It seemed like the whole time that I was smoking it, I was also fighting it trying to keep an even burn. I lit pre-lit and and lit the cigar evenly with matches. At first, the burn was even but it soon took a spin for the...

So I was looking in the bowl of my savinelli roma and it looks as if there is a cake ridge building up towards the top end of the bowl. Anyone ever seen this happen? Do I need to worry about it? If so what should I do? Thanks guys

I just had a Cohiba Robusto. Like a few Cohibas I've had recently, it didn't burn evenly. It started off OK but then started burning further on one side. Is it OK to snip an uneven burn and then relight? It seemed to work for me. I didn't take too much, just enough to even it up...

I'm sitting here on my front porch enjoying a cigar that I picked up from Rob at Taboo. I believe it is a Special Forces II, the light, taste and draw are all perfect. The only thing that I've notice with the cigar is that it seems to be burning unevenly. Now this could be my own fault...

Hi, This afternoon I smoked a Monte #2. This was the second one that I have ever smoked and I was very dissapointed with the uneven burn. :frown: I found even the first one which I smoked about two weeks ago had the same uneven burn. I wanted to try the second just to see if I had a bad one...

What is the general cause of a cigar having an uneven burn. I typically go through the same routine to light a cigar and some times it's burn is just fine, other times it's quite uneven.

Uneven burn. Nothing worse than watching half your cigar not burn. You've all had it. I know I have had too. But what causes it? And if our cigar has it what's the best way to eliminate it?

Almost all my smokes smoke with an uneven burn, particularly "box pressed". due to that I have never been a big fan of "box pressed" vitolas. I pretty much found out that it was mostly because of how I was keeping them. Once I have decided a cigar will soon be smoked I move it to my smaller 50...

Okay, I already made a post about this but no one has responded and I kinda didn't really explain myself that well. I tried to re-edit my post but it won't let me so I'm trying again except maybe this time I'll explain myself better. So last weekend I decided to buy a Trilogy Maduro Churchill...

Okay, maybe I've been lucky with this but earlier today it was the first time I experienced this. I've smoked a Trilogy Corojo Churchill before and liked it a lot. Today I thought I'd try a Trilogy Corojo Maduro Churchill. It burned very uneven. In fact it was smoking on both sides of the...

I have smoked a few cigars in my day. Usually purchased them at the local cigar shop and smoked within an hour or two. I purchased a humidor a few weeks back. Got in some great cigars from Geneva. However the last few I have smoked have burned unevenly. Any suggestions as to what I may be doing...

I'm curious about how to best correct an uneven burn. Should you turn the side that is burning slower up or down? Should you hold it level, up, or down?

Do you have a photo of a cigar with a bad canoe going? I'm writing an article for www.stogieguys.com on touch-ups but I can't find a good picture of a stogie with a really uneven burn going. It happens to us all, but the bad burns aren't usually the ones we take pictures of. Obviously I'll...

i've been shopping around for a mid range briar pipe, but in the meantime, i've started occasionally using one that i made in a woodworking class a few years back. It's almost a joke, but it does work i suppose. i'll pack a bowl reasonably tight, light it up, and for the first half of it, it...
