I was at the local B&M and noticed the little tins they have from Fuente and other big brands. Anyone have any input on these? Recommendations? thinking about gutting some, do they need to be put in a humidor?
Hello all,
Well after combing through many, many reviews and watching tons of reviews online I finally ordered my first box of tins ever.
I wanted to spread it across different types. So what I decided was to go with was one English blend, one VAPer, two aromatics and Burley.
Here's what I...
When I was at the Chicago Pipe Show yesterday, I snagged two tins of 1792. Comparing them to the ones currently in my cellar I noticed they used different labels. I tried a few searches to see if I could find some info on dating SG tins but came up dry.
Does anyone here have any idea how old...
The ones you have to pop loose with a knife, penny, ect. or the ones you peel off like old school canned fruit?
Do any of you not trust seals on one or the other and jar them instead for aging?
If I think I'm not going to be smoking through a tin within a month anyway is it a good idea to jar...
Thought I'd pass the info along in case anybody's been waiting on these.
Dunhill Tobaccos at SmokingPipes.com
They say that they have a ton in stock.
If I hadn't already blown through my tobacco budget for the first half of the year I'd be picking up a few of these tins myself... I have yet...
Dammit! Had a tin of Nightcap fail on me in my cellar. It was tight when I put it in the drawer and failed. So, lesson learned. Check your tins on a regular basis.
What is your favorite tinned tobacco that comes with a nice tin for slipping in a pocket and carrying about?
The qualities for this tobacco would be:
1) Delicious tobac
2) Tin small enough to slip in a pocket
3) tin closes well enough not to dump everything into your pocket
I don't have a...
Okay, I did the search but didn't really find an answer.
I picked up some penzance today, 2 tins, since a majority of folks here seem to like it and I knew our local B&M has tins available. How do I store them?
They don't have wrapping on them and although the lids seem really tight I was...
Who's tried this flake? I hated the cut of their Medium Flake, but have heard so much about this one I had to get some. That stuff wouldn't come out of the tin, except as a single hunk. The taste of the Medium Flake was rather flat to me as well, and tasted a bit too topped with what seemed...
This is the second time I’ve found them in my C&D tins. Anyone know what the deal is? I know it’s domestic tobacco so it’s not gassed or whatever they do to imported cigars ( I assume they do it to imported pipe tobacco too) before they can be distributed here in the U.S., but these things can...
Looking for ideas on what to do with Old Tins. I have both the flat, Dunhill, Gawith FVF kind and also the GL Pease, Rattray type.
Right now mine just sit and seems like this smart lot should have some cool ideas.
