Coming back around to some of Charles' samples finally! Decided to pull out the 3 Oaks Syrian. What a wonderful aroma in the bag. It actually does not smell like normal McKletchup blends! It's a wonderful campfire aroma with nice tangy pungency and leathers. This got me all excited! Fire...

It has been a long time since i have been so smitten by a tobacco blend. based on reviews i did my usual... buy 1 to smoke now, 2 to put in the cellar. I had never smoked Syrian Latakia and was expecting the same sort of flavor that comes...

Anyone have a lead on this? I called Blatter and Blatter but they won't ship it to the states. I saw the a link to a site in Europe from tobacco reviews, however I am not inclined to pay $40 to have it shipped.

I haven't smoked very many pipe tobaccos. I find Dunhill Nightcap to be a somewhat stronger and more flavorful version of MacBaren Vintage Syrian. These are the only two English blends I've smoked, but with both I get burning wood notes through the nose, followed by a delicious coffee taste...
