After looking up old threads and doing some searching online I found a good way to vacuum seal up Mason jars for next to nothing. I have a Ziploc hand vacuum pump that I got at Wal-Mart a while back for under $4 for the pump and a set of bags. If you poke a hole in the top of a Mason jar lid...

Okay, A buddy of mine a while ago suggested that I wax seal my cellared mason jars that I don't plan on opening for a long, long time as kind of a "just in case" measure. Haven't done it yet but I'm considering it. My question is, if I do this then how do I mark what's in the jars? Right...

He is not in and out of it very often. So the only thing I can think of is that his humi is not sealed...
