I've been a bourbon and beer drinker since ... a ways back.
Recently though, I've taken a liking to rum. Not a fan of the spiced stuff, but the darker, non-spiced variety.
Right now, I'm wowing over this rum from Trader Joes called Rum of the Gods. It's made in Barbados, but no one can tell me...
First off, never read the book. Wanted to but didnt.
With that, I thought the movie was good. Kept me entertained and had some hilarious scenes. 6 of us went, 4 liked, 2 hated.
So anybody else seen and if so what are your thoughts?
My favorite spirit is Dark Rum. I like it on the rocks with just a splash of coke or pepsi. Here are some of my favorites.
Tommy Bahama Golden Sun (currently very hard to find around here, if anyone finds some please let me know)
Pyrate XO Reserve
Capt. Morgans Private Stock
Well I tried my first twist last night. I smoked a bowl full of G&H Sweet Rum Twist out on the back porch but noticed my throat started to get sore towards the end. I have heard that twists are some of the strongest pipe tobaccos out there so maybe that is the cause.
For preparation I cut the...
Being the start of baseball season I have had ESPN on for over 24 hours. This has led me to watch numerous commercials for Kraken rum. Until now I had never heard of the stuff, but now I want some. Has anyone had some before?
I'm not much of a Bourbon / Whiskey guy, but the Bourbon / Whiskey thread
looked pretty interesting, so what do you guys like with rum?
Here's my list of 3:
1) Ron Zacapa Centenario 23
2) Pyrat XO Reserve
3) Mount Gay Extra Old
Maybe the rum thing comes from spending most of my summers...
Hi all newbe here to the forum. Long time smoker. Does anyone have any "recipes" for making rum sticks? I have several sticks that I'm not crazy about. CBid and other sites has me addicted so I never get to the bottom of the humi to smoke these out. Was thinking about making some rum sticks...
I'm not supposed to be drinking much alcohol, and I know absolutely nothing about Rum, but I've got it into my head that what I really need this year is a Hot Buttered Rum. So I'm asking for some suggestions about what would be a decent, readily available Rum to use for such a...
I am refering to the 42 gauge senhora size, Rum flavored.
It was the first cigar I have ever enjoyed, Too bad I cannot get it where I am living.
Read the full review here: Cojimar Senoritas Cigar Review - 42g size, Rum, just great!
so me and a mate are going to the first ever annual rumfestival this saturday .. but the abundance of tastings available at the festival are overwhelming, so I hope some of you guys would chime in on what I shouldn't miss??
check out the program Rome
thanks guys :)
I love mojitos. While these aren't exactly "real" mojitos, they're quick, easy, and yummy:
1 can "real fruit juice" soda - Hansen's is one brand, there are others. You choose the flavor
2 sprigs fresh mint
Rum - enough to fill the tumblers!
Ice - to taste
Place a sprig of mint in each of...
I'm wanting to purchase a good rum to sip with my cigars. What are some good ones to try under $50 max? I prefer something sweet but not flavored. Also I'm going to Mexico soon, are Duty Free shops a good place to purchase or can I do better online?
I remember seeing posts here about rum and cigars. Unfortunately you can not search on three letter words.
So, what's the deal? I know nothing about Rum other than it goes in Cokes and Barcardi makes it. Is there such a thing as sipping rum? Does rum go well with cigars? Or, do you really need...
Ok, I'll admit it. I'm a Mojito Whore. I love sitting outside on a hot day smoking cigars with numerous mojitos. Because of this I am always in search of a good clear rum. Nothing too expensive, as I go through it almost as fast as I go through whiskey in the winter (when a big liquor store...
What's your guys' preferred adult beverage with a good smoke? I know Scotch is the preferred option, but oddly enough, I don't see too many people doing rum with stogies. I figured it would seem natural, right? What with the location of production and all...
Anyone know any tobaccos that actually have a nice bourbon or rum flavoring and without the heavy PG?
I currently enjoy HoW's Bourbon Street and IR's Three Star Cordial Buttered Rum but looking to expand.
I need to make space for new inventory coming in, and these babies need a new home. The regular's at my B&M don't tend to smoke them often, I've had these in my humidor since 2007 so consider them aged! Here's what I got:
Vanilla Flavored Cojimar Torpedo's Qty. 17
Mango Flavored Cojimar Señoras...
