Hello everybody! I'm college student studying Mechanical Engineering at NC State and I have been a cigar enthusiast for 3 years. As a college student, my resources are a little limited, but I would appreciate any suggestions for cigars to try.
So, yesterday on my drive home from work I tried some of the SWR that Dave (owaindav) sent me.
In the pouch, it is a nice milk-chocolate brown. The pouch note is a little chocolate as well, along with the smell of figs. It is a cube cut that loads into the pipe quite easily. It was a...
I'm down near NC state on business this week and didn't bring my travel humi...and the weather is perfect for sitting outside. Looking at a few threads here, what are some good shops to swing through? Empire looks great and K&S looks good too. Both are about 15 miles from where I'm staying...
I was curious if anyone here has ever attended one of the TAPS pipe shows in Raleigh, NC Flyer
It seems pretty small, but it is the only pipe show within a reasonable driving distance of where I live. Is it all mom and pop vendors, or are there some notable vendors/exhibitors there?
I started grad school in Raleigh, NC in fall 2010.
I just bought my first cigars, and been reading a lot of stuff online. Finally decided to register here.
I have a question I feel kinda stupid asking. What's the general attitude towards women who smoke cigars? Not the politically correct...
I will be in town visiting my mom at WakeMed....would like to get together with a fellow Puffster for dinner and and a stick. I will be at the hospital during the day but should be free at least one evening.
I hope this is in the right spot
Shoot me a PM
So where exactly you get the cubans at???? j/k
Anyway, I guess I've dabbled in cigars for 10+ years, but nothing too serious. I've never had a humidor or bought more than 10 sticks at once. Most of my purchases have been random singles at a store or samplers that I've seen online. No real...
I hit Dave with a laser....he hits me with a Nuke and blew my whole town out of the water! All over a few pieces of cut acrylic....YOU WIN! I SURRENDER!
Seriously Dave, thanks a million...never had any of these sticks, and they look mighty fancy! Gonna park 'em with the Opus X on my "Special...
Hey, I'm a college student here in Raleigh. I've been smoking occasionally for a couple of years, but just recently started really getting in to it. I've been trying a lot of different cigars trying to figure out what I really like. Still, I've barely touched the tip of the iceberg. Hopefully...
Hello, I live In Raleigh and cigars have been my passison/obsession for the past 30 days.
I have always enjoyed cigars but not like the passion I have had learning as much as I can in the last 30 days. I am educating myself as quick as possible on the proper setup for my humidor, what to look...

Angus Barn has one of the best cigar smoking environments anywhere.
They have a humidor downstairs with some of the best selection of high end cigars available (think 3-4 different Opus X sizes always in stock). Unfortunantly, the prices are absurd ($24-$32 per Opus), but you can bring your...
