Is there a difference between fruit pectin and any other kind of pectin? I searched like three different stores and this was all I could find. Is this okay to use or is there another kind I should be using?

So I'm in need of some cigar glue and I know you are supposed to get pectin in the canning isle of your local supermarket the trouble is that all I am able to find is powder. I guess that may be all there is to get but how do you prepare it for use then?
