I have been aging Monte No.2 & Cohiba Siglo IV for 1yr now after I bought it from a known source, not sure how long they had it for and what box was it from, I am sure it was not laying arround in store for more than month or two.. I know these sticks should have 3-5 years of rest, should I try...
Here is my much belated review of the 2008 LGC MdO2 that Alan sent me to review for his "who wants to review a cigar" thread. Now that our 1200 mile relocation is done and we're mostly unpacked I figured firing this puppy up was a fitting way to welcome in the weekend and celebreate the relo...
This week (10 Jan 2011 - 16 Jan 2011) on the Cigar Aficionado website, Joya de Nicaragua Cabinetta No.2 Cigar is announced as "Cigar of th Week". Below are the tasting notes:
This torpedo is tipped with a dark wrapper, the rest is wrapped in a light leaf. The draw is a bit firm but...
Just purchased a box of 10 to age until next summer. Since I am not really a smoker in the winter I figured I mine as well age something nice in the humidor for when it warms up again. I figure these will be real nice with about 10 months aging on them.
What would you guys say the...
I hope you are doing great today.
Not to big into doing reviews but I had an enjoyable smoke and took some pictures tonight.
I looked in my tray in my coolerdor tonight and found I had two Partagas Serie P No. 2 cigars so thought I should have one.
I had to figure first what to...
Lit this on Veterans, what a nice time it was...
Appearance; a rough and veiny cigar, but that doesn't bother me.
Taste was nice from first draw to last. Very nice and smooth. Top ten, for me
Burn was a little off at first but it evened out about half an inch into the smoke. After that...

Surely there are some gorillas out there that can give me some feed back on these little puppies.
Few more things to get rid of fellas.

Someone kindly gave me this Nicaraguan puro cigar to try a while ago, a box pressed robusto with a 54 ring and about 125 mm long. Nice oily spotted wrapper and a very pretty, stylish band. The predraw was fine and left me with a smooth but yet undefined flavor on my palate.
So I picked up a few of these guys in February. I tried one in March and it didn't do it for me. I wanted to give it a little more time (these are some late 07's). I took one out this weekend for a second chance.
Construction (8/10): This cigar looked pretty good... well it looked better when I...
Romeo y Julieta Tubos No.2
Grey tube, petit corona
I had a good weekend, and decided to break this out and enjoy life. I made myself some coffee, sat back in my chair, cracked open the book to look over which faction to play, and started to enjoy the cigar.
I'm looking to lay hands on a couple of Opus X Perfexxion No.2 Cigars. Anyone have a couple that you would be willing to sell or trade for? If not, do you know of anyone who has them in stock?
I think it was from a April 06 box. The construction was great, beautiful wrapper, and even with the humidity the cigar burned well. Pre light had rich full tobacco flavors and the aromas were a dampened sweetness. Draw was perfect, easy but with slight resistence.
From first puff what got me...
I was pleasantly surprised at how well this cigar is smoking. Brought some to the Socal herf, gifted a few, smoked a couple and did a puff-puff on another. Draw is perfect especially considering that there were some quality issues during 99 and 00. Typical monte flavor but smooth and stout. I...
